Indictments Filed Aug. 26

Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 14 indictments Aug. 26. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Thomas J. Stevens was indicted on a single count of fourth-degree certain person. Stevens was convicted in 2021 of burglary and was found to be in possession of a metal axe.

Ming L. Cuevas faces a third-degree count for bail jumping related to his failure to appear for a hearing on a charge of third-degree possession of a CDS in 2023.

Wolfe R. Schwartz was named in a three-count indictment, with two counts of third-degree aggravated assault and one count of resisting arrest.

Mariche Wilibaldo was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault, one in the second and one in the third degree.

Andrew Cirino faces a single count of third-degree resisting arrest by a North Wildwood police officer.

John C. Schuster was named in a two-count indictment, with both counts for third-degree theft.

Christopher G. Loperleveille was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, methamphetamine.

Jesse J. Daisey faces a third-degree count for aggravated assault due to injuring another while driving under the influence. The indictment also contained a fourth-degree count for certain person due to the fact that Daisey possessed a knife but was previously convicted of possession with intent to distribute a CDS.

Ezekeil X. Cota-Crow was named in a six-count indictment for criminal mischief, burglary, resisting arrest and three counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. All six counts were in the third degree.

Maureen Mahoney was indicted for burglary in the third degree and theft in the fourth degree. According to the indictment Mahoney unlawfully entered a black Jeep Gladiator and took a credit card.

Augustine S. Stesney faces a second-degree count for possession with intent to distribute, along with a third-degree count for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, and a fourth-degree count for intent to distribute a legend drug, Gabapentin.

David Ebner was indicted on a single count of fourth-degree bias intimidation related to an incident in Cape May on July 4.

Robert Seney was named in a 10-count indictment, with three third-degree counts for possession of a CDS with intent to distribute, two third-egree counts for possession of a CDS, a third-degree count for intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, a second-degree count for possession with intent within 500 feet of public property, a third-degree count for money laundering, and two fourth-degree counts for intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and certain person. Seney had been convicted of possession with intent to distribute in 2008 and was found to be in possession of ammunition. The controlled substances in question were methamphetamine and alprazolam.

Christopher J. Renauro  was indicted on six counts, including three counts of aggravated assault, with one in the second degree and two in the third degree. There were two other third-degree counts, for criminal restraint and resisting arrest, along with a fourth-degree count for obstruction.
