Indictments Filed Aug. 15

Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, but there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 21 indictments Aug. 15. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons. 

Treyvon B. Chisum and Anton J. Brown were indicted on two counts of third-degree theft and one count of conspiracy in the third degree.

Trever J. Garneau faces a third-degree bail jumping count for failure to appear for a hearing regarding a second-degree offense for eluding police.

Zhyana M. Young was named in a six-count indictment, including three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, along with two third-degree counts for attempted escape and aggravated assault. A final count was for fourth-degree obstructing the administration of law.

Raekwon Cade was indicted for second-degree aggravated assault related to an incident in Middle Township in May.

Donavon W. Hayes, Felix Garcia, Yechiel Garcia, Brent N. Romano, John G. Robison, Karl S. Knoyer, and Steven W. Suender each face a third-degree count for possession of a CDS. Knoyer individually faces two counts. The drugs in question included cocaine, fentanyl xylazine, methamphetamine, and buprenorphine.

Edward A. Petroni was indicted on one count of third-degree theft related to an incident during the Fourth of July holiday period in Wildwood.

Jonathan S. Diliberto was named in a two-count indictment for unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person. Both counts are in the fourth degree. The certain person count arises because of a 2021 conviction in Gloucester County for aggravated assault.

Holly Dees faces a third-degree count for receiving stolen property, a 2008 maroon Volvo.

Leslie W. Burns was indicted on two counts of fourth-degree certain person for possession of a 4-inch knife. Burns was convicted in 2005 in Gloucester County for conspiracy. The weapons listed were a machete and a Winchester flare gun.

Tyrell L. Oddaely was named in a three-count indictment containing two second-degree counts for aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The remaining count is for third-degree aggravated assault.

Mason Saunders was indicted for fourth-degree throwing bodily fluids at a police officer in North Wildwood.

Brandy P. Kasparian was indicted on a count of third-degree shoplifting in Middle Township.

Alajandro Rodriguez-Rios faces a three-count indictment, including two third-degree counts for tampering with physical evidence and uttering a false document. The remaining count was fourth-degree possession of a fake government ID.

Jason R. Brown was indicted on two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and one count of third-degree possession of a CDS, oxycodone. The child endangerment counts are linked to possession and distribution of child pornography.

Julian M. Valentine faces a single count of third-degree aggravated assault related to an incident in Middle Township in July.

Mark J. Wieland was indicted on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one in the second degree and one in the third degree. Both counts were related to possession and distribution of child pornography.
