Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up seven indictments April 23. 

The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  

Nicholas Diaz faces two counts of third-degree possession of a CDS. The drugs were fentanyl and cocaine.

Miquel A. Roman was named in a four-count indictment for third-degree possession of a CDS, fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute, also in the third degree, intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property in the second degree, and third-degree witness tampering.

Ethan P. Douris was indicted on two third-degree counts of forgery and uttering a false instrument, along with fourth-degree theft.

Pablo Hernandez-Avila faces a single third-degree count for possession of a CDS, cocaine, related to an incident in Ocean City in June 2023.

Jahmir D. Wilkins was named in a single-count indictment for third-degree theft.

Jason Card was indicted for offering home improvements without first registering with the state as required by the Contractor Registration Act. The indictment also included a third-degree count for failure to make required disposition of $7,200.

Danny Klebetz faces a third-degree count for shoplifting from a Middle Township merchant in February.
