HACK, ELEANOR
Eleanor Hack, 72, Cape May Court House, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 8th surrounded by her loving family. Born December 18, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA, she was one of four children born to the late Joseph Cummiskey and Marie DiMascio.
Eleanor moved to the Cape May area from Philadelphia in 1962 and graduated from Wildwood Catholic High School. She was employed by Cape Savings Bank for 30 years, serving as Vice President before transitioning to Sturdy Savings Bank, from which she later retired. Outside of work, Eleanor enjoyed shopping at local shops and boutiques, cooking, reading, entertaining, and above all spending time with her family.
Eleanor will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering strength. She was a wonderful mother, wife, and friend. She was a steady presence in times of need, offering support, wisdom, and unconditional love. She truly touched the lives of all who knew her, and was the embodiment of a life well lived. She will forever remain in our hearts.
Eleanor is survived by her loving husband Frederick and their two children, Tracey Hack (Michael Griesser) and Christine Cook (Joseph); four grandchildren, Adam Cook, Winifred Griesser, Marielle Cook and Michael Griesser. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Michael Cummiskey (Michele), Joseph Cummiskey, and Gina Myers.
Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday, May 16th at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May NJ 08204. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until the time of service.
Interment will be private. Condolences may be shared at www.EvoyFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org/donate.
