GOLASZEWSKI, STEPHEN ANTHONY

GOLASZEWSKI,
STEPHEN ANTHONY
Stephen “Steve” Anthony Golaszewski -77, was taken from this world on June 2nd, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Anyone who knew him knew he loved with all of his heart, but in the end it was his heart that failed him.
Steve was born in Oakland, California on October 27th, 1947, as the middle child. He was raised in a military family, his father being 1st generation Coast Guard. After many different moves around the country they finally settled down in Cape May County.
Once he graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School, Steve went on to become 2nd generation serving proudly in the United States Coast Guard where he was stationed on an ice breaker in the Antarctic as an Engineman Petty Officer 2nd class.
After 4 years of service, he was honorably discharged and moved to Wildwood, where he worked many jobs over the years. From working at Wildwood City Hall to owning motels and finally in 1989 starting a 32 year career at Cape Regional in Plant Operations. It was there that he met the love of his life, Casi. Jointly, they had 5 daughters.
In 2021, Steve finally retired from the hospital, which meant more time for family and fishing. He was a tough man but he loved his family, especially the Grandkids. You could find him anytime, either putzing around the house, at the Fishing club, or the Bree-zee-lee Marina checking on his boat, 'The Rowan Bee' or even cooking a holiday feast for the family because Steve was in fact a great cook.
Steve was predeceased by his parents, Zigmund & Veronica Golaszewski, as well as his brothers Lance and Donald.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Casi. His daughters Maria (Dave), Nina, Christina (Petey), Chrissy (Allen), and Laura (Dusten) as well as his grandchildren, Keith, Brandon, Hanna, Ava, Rowan, Henley & Finn and many nieces and nephews.
He loved driving his antique cars, but most of all he loved the water. So fair winds and following seas, Scallywag.
To Honor and Celebrate Steve's life, relatives and friends will be received on Friday June 6th at 10:00 am at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, with the service beginning at 11:00 am, followed by interment at the Veterans Cemetery. The family then invites guests for reminiscing and refreshments at the Villas Fishing Club.
If you wish, donations can be made at the Cape May County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 4 Moore Road, DN 501B, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
