cmc logo

From Cape May County

Beginning on Tuesday December 26th and continuing for approximately one week, Fishing Creek Road between Bayshore Road (Cr 603) and Breakwater Road (Cr 613) will be closed to thru traffic and detoured as the roadway reconstruction begins along this section of road. The roadway will be closed during the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. during active periods of excavation, milling, and paving. Local traffic will be maintained, and residents will always have access to their homes. The roadway will be reopened to traffic at the end of each day.

Traffic heading south along Bayshore Road wishing to access Fishing Creek Road will be detoured and continue heading south along Bayshore Road, then will be directed east onto Breakwater Road then continue along Breakwater Road to Fishing Creek Road. Traffic heading north along Fishing Creek Road will detour west onto Breakwater Road then to Bayshore Road where they will be directed north along Bayshore Road.

Fishing Creek Road will remain open south of Breakwater Road during this phase of milling and paving.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution along the detour routes and to exercise extreme caution if travelling along the portion of Fishing Creek Road that is undergoing milling and paving as there will be limited visibility and a 2” to 5” drop off along the centerline at the interface of the new and existing paving.
