Fire Damages 2 Sea Isle City Restaurants

SEA ISLE CITY – Two restaurants in Sea Isle City were damaged by fire on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024. The restaurant staff from Casa Taco, located at 4210 Park Road, called 911 to report a fire in the building at 5:06 p.m.

Sea Isle City Police, Fire and EMS Departments were immediately dispatched to Casa Taco and arrived on the scene at 5:07 p.m. When Police and Fire personnel arrived, they ensured that the entire building was empty. The SICPD also evacuated adjacent buildings as a precautionary measure.

Fire Departments from Avalon, Marmora, Ocean City, Ocean View and Strathmere also responded to assist fighting the fire with the SICFD. Additionally, an EMS Unit from Avalon and a Rehab Unit from Upper Township responded to provide aid to SICEMS.

The fire was declared under control within an hour.

There were no injuries reported, but there was extensive damage to Casa Taco Restaurant. The adjacent restaurant, Casino Pizza, also received damage. Casa Taco and Casino Pizza are the only two establishments in the commercial building at 4210 Park Road.

The fire is currently under investigation by the SICPD as well as the Cape May County and State Fire Marshals.
