It’s been an incredible month at the Cape May Point Arts & Science Center! We kicked off the summer season with a dynamic weekend during the Climate Summit. The event was packed with thought-provoking speakers, inspiring conversations, and a renewed sense of awareness around the urgent environmental issues facing our coastal communities. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the weekend such a success!

We were also deeply honored to welcome back some of the Sisters of St. Joseph to the building this month. Their visit was a touching reminder of the rich history and mission of this space. It was truly special to walk them through the building and share how we are working to preserve and reimagine it as a vibrant center for arts, science, and community. Their presence brought warmth and a beautiful sense of continuity to all that we do here.

Looking ahead, be sure to save the date for two exciting events that support the CMPASC mission.

First, the Seagrove Art Cooperative will host its inaugural juried art show, opening July 25. Enjoy a stunning collection of paintings and sculptures created by talented artists from Southern New Jersey and beyond. This is a wonderful opportunity to support local art while contributing to the future of CMPASC. Tickets are $20, and proceeds will benefit the Center. For more information or to participate as an artist, please email: seagroveartcooperative@gmail.com.

Then, mark your calendars for our annual da Vinci Gala on September 13, a night of celebration and community. This year, we’re proud to honor Tom and Sue Carroll and their years of service to nonprofits across Cape Island. The event is chaired by Christina Clemans, and promises an unforgettable evening of celebration and community.
