ERNST, BARBARA M.
Barbara M. Ernst, 75, entered into eternal rest Monday, July 1st at North Cape Center, North Cape May where she had been a guest since December.
Born December 13, 1948 in Hamburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Stella (Kaleta) Majkowski.
Barbara had a passion for the environment and nature. She accepted a position with the County of Cape May as the Division Director of Open Space. The purpose of the Cape May County Open Spaces and Farmland Preservation Program is to permanently preserve public land of County significance and to support current and future regional conservation, recreation, community enhancement, and historic preservation needs throughout the County.
She was also very active in politics and was recently re-elected as a committee woman to the Lower Township Republican Organization.
Barbara was a member of the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. Raymond, Villas. She had a deep devotion not only to her faith but also her family, including her granddaughters and daughter-in-law and her friends and coworkers.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded by her husband the late Harry J. Ernst, Jr. (August 16, 2006), son Dr. Alexander J. “AJ” Ernst (December 1, 2023) and sister Christine.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her granddaughters who affectionately called her “Babcia”, Natalie and Lydia; she will also be missed by her daughter-in-law Kira and brother Stanislaw Majkowski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Saturday, July 13 at the Parish of St. John Neumann Parish Church of St. John of God. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 9:30AM until 10:45AM. Interment will be held on the grounds of Tabernacle Cemetery, North Cape May. The family would ask that donations be made in Barabra's memory to the Doctor Alex Ernst Memorial Education Center, Cape May County Zoo, 4 Moore Road Department 801, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

LANOCE, JR. VALENTINO JOSEPH Valentino Joseph Lanoce, Jr, age 92 of Jensen Beach, Florida and Wildwood, New Jersey passed away on December 30, 2024, at his home in Jensen Beach, Florida. Valentino was born on October 2, 1932, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Valentino Lanoce, Sr. and Antoinette (Secreta) Lanoce.
