Endorsements and Voting

By Alfred Puglia, Court House

To the Editor:

I read the publisher’s “Dear Readers” column on page one of the Jan. 1, 2025, edition. I too lament the disappearance of local papers not owned by the likes of Gannett. I would gladly pay for a local newspaper that could not resist the urge to support a particular political party. If I am not mistaken, Art Hall came out in support of Kamala Harris. Given the degree of polarization in the country, I believe that any right thinking person would simply say that the choices on Nov. 5 were difficult and simply ask the readers to vote with their conscience. I for one will grab your paper if free but not otherwise.

Editor’s Note: Neither the Herald nor the publisher endorsed Kamala Harris.
