Early voting was a huge success in Cape May County. As of the close of the nine day early in-person voting period Sunday at 8 p.m. just over one third (33.5%) of all county registered voters had cast ballots.

Numbers as of Monday, November 4 show 15,802 voters cast ballots via early in-person voting. That is 20% of the total of the county’s 76,562 registered voters. Another 9,888 ballots were cast via the mail-in option for an additional 13% of the total possible voters.

Mail-in ballots will continue to arrive. Votes by mail must be postmarked by election day and received by the county board of elections by November 11.
