Early Voting Brought in a Third of All County Registered Voters

Early voting was a huge success in Cape May County. As of the close of the nine-day early in-person voting period Nov. 3 at 8 p.m., just over one-third (33.5%) of all county registered voters had cast ballots.

Numbers as of Monday, Nov. 4, showed 15,802 voters cast ballots via early in-person voting. That is 20% of the total of the county’s 76,562 registered voters. Another 9,888 ballots were cast via the mail-in option, for an additional 13% of the total possible voters.

Votes by mail must have been postmarked by Election Day and received by the county Board of Elections by Nov. 11.
