The election of Donald Trump to a second term as president ironically is the failure of Democrats to gauge the actual concerns of American voters. First the orchestrated nomination of Joe Biden by those left-wing Democrats where they knew full well he had very serious mental and physical challenges hidden from the public. The legacy media was also complicit in this charade. “Campaign” from his basement was never really exposed for what it was hiding. Next, as soon as Biden was elected he took the spiteful action of reversing Trump action by dismissing Trump’s executive actions, even those that worked well.
The Biden left wing plan to open the borders to flood in illegal aliens that would eventually be given legal status and citizenship backfired. While Democrats sought to get millions of potential new voters to open border invited drug cartels, criminal gangs, and millions of migrants overwhelming local communities. Americans really disliked being lied to that “the border is closed.”
Democrats began an insane spending spree that created horrific inflation that devastated middle income people. Biden’s “green energy” plan by shutting down oil production caused gasoline prices to skyrocket. The allowance of “transgender” boys to compete with girls was met with near universal outrage. Other “woke” agenda actions were again opposed by most Americans.
So Donald Trump, with a vigorous whirlwind campaign, went over the country during Biden’s four years exposing and railing against all these unpopular Biden/Left Wing agendas. His rallies energized people all over and helped raise significant money to run a variable campaign.
Then Trump was handed an incredible gift, Joe Biden as a candidate completely discomposed on a national television debate. The desperate Democrats then tried to pivot by replacing Biden. However, in a sloppy political coup they installed unfit Kamala Harris as the new stand-in candidate. People never liked her, and her campaign actions made her toxic.
Next the assassination attempt, and slight gunshot wound, propelled Trump to near “martyr” status and boosted his popularity, even if it was partly a concern for him personally. Thus, during the campaign Trump crisscrossed the entire nation in a well-orchestrated plan that led to a landslide win.
Once Trump took office he pounced on the chance to reverse as much of the Biden/left wing Democratic agenda as possible in record time. He began with the high-profile shutdown at borders to the great support and relief of over 80% of the American public, Democrats and Republicans. His winning also helped turn the Senate into a GOP majority and retain a GOP Congress majority.
Thus, he was so empowered he now went on a head-spinning several weeks plan to approach everything from domestic to foreign policy. He also already had picked his administrative appointments and was essentially successful in getting Senate approval for everyone, even those controversial. This just underscored his political power.
While Democrats are vocal in opposition to Trump, his approval rating remains steady at well over 50% in most polls. Democrats having been leaderless, and no one seems to be evolving as a possible popular figure sufficient to take over. Democrats are seeking not just a leader but also some kind of “platform” issue to regain any popularity. While they try to blame Trump for not immediately reducing prices of groceries and eggs, especially eggs, most people know he has only been in office a short period and the continual “Blame Trump” mantra has worn out from overuse.
So, Trump will continue riding this crest of support, he has some stunning wins. And if he is successful in resolving the Ukraine – Russian war and aid in ending the Israel – Hamas conflict, he will continue getting support of the American people. Which will translate into power with his own party. So, if Democrats have anyone to blame for ascension of Donald Trump it’s themselves, setting things up for him to make a historic comeback.
