NORTH CAPE MAY – A cyclist who was struck by a vehicle on Bayshore Road around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, told police he did not remember the accident that resulted in him being airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City with a compound fracture of his left leg.

According to the Lower Township Police Department accident report, the driver of a vehicle was turning left from Breakwater Road onto Bayshore Road when she noticed a cyclist coming into her lane. The driver told police that before she could turn to evade him, she struck the bicycle. The cyclist told police he was on his way home and did not recall being hit or involved in an accident. The crash scene investigation concurred with the vehicle driver’s statement about the accident.

The report noted the cyclist was wearing dark clothing, nonwhite shoes, and riding a black and teal bicycle.
