To the Editor:
Van Drew failed to protect the economic engine of South Jersey, the beaches.
Van Drew voted to cut Medicaid, Medicare and food benefits for children in his district. This vote came after HE PROMISED to not cut these programs. His congressional district is one of the poorest in the tri-state area, with tens of thousands of the residents needing these programs. He chose MAGA over his constituents.
Congresspeople are supposed to represent the people of their district. Van Drew has failed to look out for South Jersey. He refuses to hold open Town Hall meetings to answer questions.
It is time for both Republicans and Democrats to offer up new candidates.
