By Press Release

WOODBINE — Woodbine residents and those from neighboring municipalities throughout the tri-county area are invited to participate in the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company’s Christmas parade Dec. 7.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. Line up will start at 5 p.m. along Bryant Street.
The route will be the same as in previous years: starting on Bryant Street south onto Washington, continue to Clay Street, east on Clay to Heilprin Avenue, north on Heilprin to DeHirsch Avenue stopping at the Firehouse.
Trophies will be awarded (first and second place) for Best Appearing Fire Company, Best Appearing Rescue Squad; Best Float; Best Marching Unit.
Santa will join with Mayor William Pikolycky in lighting the Christmas tree on the bike path.
Following the lighting, refreshments will be served at the Firehouse. Trophies will be award as Santa visits with the children. Since there can be only one Santa, participants are asked not to have a likeness of the North Pole’s top resident on any float in the parade.
“I would like to extend an invitation to all local fire, rescue, and other first responders, as well as marching bands, floats, and other organizations to once again register and participate in this season-starting Friday night celebration,” stated  Pikolycky.
For information and or to register call Jeanette at (609) 861-2464; if no answer leave a message. Potential participants are asked to confirm by Nov. 30.
