Wildwoods Baby Parade Winners Announced

Entrant in 110th Annual Wildwoods Baby Parade Aug. 1

By Press Release

WILDWOOD The Wildwoods Seventh Annual Baby Waddle Contest and the 110th Annual Wildwoods Baby Parade, a tradition since 1909, were events full of smiles, babies, and toddlers from across the tri-state area.
According to a release, the Wildwoods Baby Waddle Contest, held July 30, brought out speed-crawling babies and fast-waddling toddlers to the Wildwoods Convention Center.
Participants in the two categories – The Crawl and The Waddle – were encouraged by their parents to crawl or ‘waddle’ from the center to the edge of a 45-foot diameter colorful parachute circle. The baby or toddler that made its way out of the circle first won.
Victor Fox of Philadelphia took first place in the Crawlers category; and Makenna Anhalt of Philadelphia, took first place in the Waddlers category.
The winning crawler and ‘waddler’ each won a family four-pack to Morey’s Piers which includes a three-hour session at either Raging Waters or Ocean Oasis Waterparks, and unlimited amusement rides at all three Morey’s Piers amusement parks.
This year’s baby parade, presented by the Wildwood Civic Club, attracted the region’s most adorable children, along with creative floats, decorated carriages and wagons, and crowds of parents, family, friends, and vacationers – all taking part in the festivities and admiring the costumed youngsters.
The newly crowned Queen Oceania, Riley Kane and her court, Abigail Pruszinski and Reagan Kobierowski, presided over the parade as their first official duty.
