Seafaring enthusiasts should not miss the 71st Greater Wildwood Yacht Club Regatta Aug. 22-23, Sunset Lake along Park Boulevard in Wildwood Crest.
This Mid-Atlantic Racing Association Championship will feature yacht clubs from all over the region including Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Cape May, Brigantine, and many others.
International Optimist Dinghy and 420 fleets will set sail on Saturday and Laser and Sunfish fleets race on Sunday.
Registration for the regatta will take place at 9 a.m. both days at the Greater Wildwood Yacht Club, 6510 Park Boulevard.
Races begin at 10 a.m. on both days. Registration for the event is $20. The event is free for spectators.
The Greater Wildwood Yacht Club will hold free lunches for Regatta participants on the afternoons of the races at the Greater Wildwood Yacht Club. Races will re-commence after lunch both days.
