WILDWOOD CREST – The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department hosted nearly 300 people its annual Trunk-or-Treat Halloween season family event Oct. 30. The event was held in the parking lot of the Crest Pier Recreation Center.
Adults decorated the backs of their vehicles for Halloween and distributed candy to children dressed in Halloween costumes. The event included 18 decorated vehicles.
The Wildwood Crest Police Department and the Wildwood Crest Ambulance Corps also participated in the event.
Winners of the vehicle-decorating contest were awarded prizes. They included:
First place – Brein Byron, Wildwood Crest.
Second place – Robin Wertz, North Wildwood.
Third place – John Davis, Wildwood.
Fourth place – Ave Maria Kras, Wildwood.
Fifth place – Barbara Farrell, Wildwood Crest.
