WILDWOOD CREST – The Wildwood Crest Recreation Department hosted a large crowd at its annual Trunk or Treat Halloween season family event Oct. 30. The event was held in the parking lot of the Crest Pier Recreation Center.
Adults decorated the backs of their vehicles for Halloween and distributed candy to children dressed in Halloween costumes. Approximately 850 people attended the event, which included 21 decorated vehicles.
The Wildwood Crest Police Department and Department of Public Safety also participated in the event.
Winners of the vehicle-decorating contest were awarded prizes. They included:
First place – Wally and Susan Jurusz, Wildwood Crest.
Second place – Robin Wertz, North Wildwood.
Third place – Breinn Byron, Wildwood Crest.
Fourth place – Dennis Schlereth, Cape May Court House.
