West Cape May Tomato Festival Scheduled

By Press Release

WEST CAPE MAY — West Cape May again celebrates the famous Jersey Tomato with the West Cape May Tomato Festival.
On Sat., Sept. 1, in Wilbraham Park, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., vendors selling all kinds of tomato-related items will line the park.
This year the festival features music by Robin Hippel and Amy Hufana, The Twotoo Trio, and Michael Davis and the Bullets. At noon, Lorraine Ranalli, author of “Gravy Wars: South Philly Foods, Feuds and Attytudes” will speak and sign her book. This is a hilarious read about Italian-American culture, traditions and superstitions as well as family recipes.
Tomato T-shirts, Tomato pottery, tomato jewelry along with tomatoes in all form of food will be for sale. Rea’s Farm and other local farmers will be selling seasonal produce with plenty of Jersey Tomatoes!
The Jersey Tomato Festival benefits the West Cape May Shade Tree Commission and proceeds are used to maintain Wilbraham Park and the tree canopy of West Cape May.
Wilbraham Park is located at the corners of Broadway, West Perry and Sunset avenues.
