The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Foundation project “Faces Never Forgotten” needs your help obtaining missing photos of Vietnam veterans from New Jersey. These photos will help complete the “Wall of Faces” in the new Education Center at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C.
The search to locate the photos of all soldiers listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall began in 2014. Photos will be displayed in the new Education Center on the National Mall, scheduled to be completed in 2019. The Education Center’s electronic “Wall of Faces” will correspond with the names on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Soldiers since the September 11 attacks will also be honored in the new center.
Visit www.vvmf.org/state-photos, scroll down to New Jersey, and click “Missing” for the names of those New Jersey soldiers whose photos are missing. Visit www.vvmf.org/how-to-submit for instructions on how to submit photos online or by mail. You can also send missing photos to Peggy Arbitell at parbitell@njpa.org.
For more information on the project and to view the “Wall of Faces” gallery in progress, visit www.vvmf.org/Wall-of-Faces. These are effective and moving tributes to fallen soldiers from your area.
