Veterans Invited to Discuss Expansion of VA Healthcare Services in Cape May County

COURT HOUSE – Congressman LoBiondo’s Office, the Cape May County Board of Freeholder’s and Wilmington VA Hospital representatives invite local veterans to a second public discussion regarding the expansion of VA healthcare service in Cape May County.  The meeting is open to Veterans, and will be held July, 15, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Cape May County Police Academy, 171 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House, NJ.
Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton, liaison to the Veteran’s Bureau, stated, “Several meetings have been held by representatives from Cape May County, VA officials, a representative of Congressman LoBiondo’s Office and representatives from local veterans’ organizations. This is the second meeting designed to bring the information to Cape May County veterans through public discussions”.
Freeholder Jeffrey L. Pierson, (Brig. Gen. Ret), added, “Presentations will be made on a potential new VA Community Based Outreach Center in Cape May County, the Choice Program, and better communications, followed by a question and answer period. The overall purpose is to improve communications and ensure veterans are better informed on VA resources and actions relating to county veterans”.
