The parade will step off at the Villas Volunteer Fire Department,1619 Bayshore Road, at 11 a.m., and travel south on Bayshore Road to end at Lower Township Hall, 2600 Bayshore Road.
The event will feature the Coast Guard, local veterans, high school marching bands, fire departments, and community groups. Local businesses along the route are planning to decorate patriotically for the event.
Deputy Mayor Frank Sippel said the parade was a great success in its first year and that the community is looking forward to another unique opportunity to show their support and appreciation to veterans along the parade route.
Currently, the township is looking local veterans and/or veteran organizations that would like to participate in the parade.
