Sea Isle City to Celebrate Halloween with Several Activities

SEA ISLE CITY – Oct. 23, Sea Isle City’s Division of Recreation will host the resort’s annual Halloween Parade starting at 7:00 p.m. along Landis Avenue, 45th to 40th Street, where a wide variety of eye-catching participants will walk, cruise along on floats and entertain spectators lining the parade route. 
An energetic appearance by the one-and-only Phillie Phanatic will be among the parade’s many highlights, as will live music provided by several popular bands, and floats carrying recognizable characters from the big screen.  The parade will also feature representatives from local civic organizations and businesses, elected officials, beauty queens, fire engines, ambulances and many other participants.
The Recreation Office is currently accepting applications for parade participants. Individuals and groups are invited to show their Halloween Spirit on October 23 by appearing in the parade in any of the following categories: Walkers (up to age 12); Walkers (age 13 to adult); Families; Clubs and Organizations; Floats; and Non-Judged Entries. To learn more about entering Sea Isle City’s 2015 Halloween Parade, please phone 609-263-0050.
Immediately following the Halloween Parade, spectators and participants are invited to attend the City’s annual Halloween Dance Party at the Excursion Park Band Shell, located on JFK Boulevard and the Promenade. During the Dance Party, families will enjoy a variety classic Halloween music, provided by D.J. Jeff. 
The Halloween fun will continue in Sea Isle City Oct. 30, with a Halloween Movie Night at the Excursion Park Band Shell, where the animated film“Hotel Transylvania” will be shown starting at 7:00 p.m.  Movie-goers are reminded to bring folding chairs and blankets so they can recline on the lawn at Excursion Park.
