Sea Isle City to Celebrate Autumn with Octoberfest

SEA ISLE CITY – In cooperation with the City of Sea Isle City, the resort’s Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will host their annual Octoberfest celebration Oct. 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Excursion Park, located at JFK Boulevard and the Promenade. The yearly festival will include a variety of family-friendly activities, including pumpkin painting, free hayrides on the beach, face-painters, balloon artists and bounce houses. Additionally, The Philadelphia German Brass Band will fill the air with authentic Oomph-pah music, Magician Chad Juros will demonstrate his magic skills, and vendors will sell food, crafts and other merchandise. 
There will also be an Octoberfest Pie Baking Contest Oct. 17 at Braca Café, JFK Boulevard and Pleasure Avenue.  Those wishing to enter a pie in the contest must submit a completed application by Oct. 15. Pies from professional kitchens will not be accepted. No entry fee is required. Prizes will be awarded to the top three pies (including a first place prize of $100) during the Octoberfest Celebration at Excursion Park.
