Bishop McHugh
Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School will be celebrating Catholic School’s Week Sunday, Jan. 31 through Feb. 5. The school will be open to the public for potential students and their family Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tours and information will be available.
Bishop McHugh, a state-of-the-art facility, is Middle States Accredited, offers small classes, an Extended Day Program, athletic teams, SMART tuition assistance, the latest technology equipment and labs, and transportation to all Cape May County residents. Bishop McHugh also offers a 3 year-old program in addition to its pre-k to eighth grades.

Cape May County Technical High School
Eight students at the Cape May County Technical High School were recently selected as Students of the Marking Period, a recognition program that selects eligible students each marking period based on nominations and recommendations from teachers and guidance counselors, grades, attendance and school participation.
Full time students honored for the first marking period are Clay Rossner, grade 12; Garrett Heilpern, grade 11; Jennie Ciabatoni, grade 10 and Christianna Ziccardi, grade 9. Shared-time students are Dustin Kelly, grade 12; Jonathan Harrison, grade 11; Miranda Kendrick, grade 10 and Ryan Conlow, grade 9.
In other news, Rachel Harwood, a student in the Certified Dental Assisting class at the Cape May County Technical School District, recently achieved a perfect 900 score on the infection control certification examination. The required passing score is 400. This is one of three major state examinations required to become a certified dental assistant.
Girls always love to have their nails done and elementary students from the Special Services School District were recently treated to manicures by the cosmetology students at Cape May Tech.
GED testing at the Cape May County Technical School District is Feb. 3 and 4 and Feb. 17 and 18 from 4 to 9 p.m. Mandatory pre-registration and orientation for the Feb. 3 and 4 session is Tuesday, Feb. 1, 5, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; for the Feb. 17 and 18 test, pre-registration and orientation is Tuesday, Feb. 16, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the GED test area, room 145 of the Tozour Building, 188 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House.
Those interested in the GED test must bring a money order or cash for $50 (no personal checks) and one form of government-issued photo ID. Applicants who are 16 must present a photo ID, original birth certificate and Social Security card; also, 16 and 17 year olds must present their certificate of consent to participate at the time of registration. Contact the GED office for a form.

Arrangements can be made for all of the GED testing information contained in this notice to be better profiled to individuals with limited English language skills or with impaired sensory, manual or speaking skills to enable them to benefit as qualified for opportunities addressed in this notice. Special GED testing accommodations may be requested for individuals challenged with diagnosed physical, emotional or educational special needs.
Crest Memorial
Crest Memorial PTC Board is hoping that you would attend and support the children of our school.
There will be 10-11 wine vendors and 3 Craft beer vendors from 7pm-10pm as well as butlered food (shrimp in bacon, crab balls etc) there will be food stations of International cheeses, Pasta station, and Seafood Station and a coffee bar at the end of the night. There will also be DJ entertainment from 10pm-12am and the bar will be open.
There will also be a Wii Golf competition in which winners could win a TV, Wii or a Wine basket. It should be a fun night! The Grand is also giving discounted room rates of $80 for the night. Please spread the word.
Middle Township
Middle Township High School proudly announces the selection of 20 students as Distinguished and Urban Scholars for the 2010-2011 school year.
Urban Scholars, selected on the basis of their class rank and GPA, are Taylor Cawley, Hannah DiBruno, Alison DiDonato, Caitlin Donahue, Adam Fincke, Stephanie Fowler, Kasey Fox, Joel Novick, Andrea Reder, Matthew Riggitano, Max Sorensen, Rebecca Sykes, Samantha Szathmary, Dustin Walczyk. These scholarships were offered to only 999 students in New Jersey.
Six students were selected as Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished scholars based on their class rank in the op 10% of the graduating class. These students also have SAT scores (critical reading and math) of at least 1260. These students are Julia Blaszczyk, David Hand, Thomas Jamison, Derick Logan, Andrew Moran, Evan Weatherby.
The Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA), an independent agency of the State of New Jersey, administers the Garden State Scholarship Program, which includes the Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholar and Urban Scholar awards. Each year, more than 7000 students statewide receive scholarships in recognition of their high level of academic achievement. Students may use these awards to continue their education at New Jersey institutions of higher education.
St. Ann Regional School
Recently St. Ann basketball kicked off the Cape Atlantic Catholic School League season. St. Ann Regional hosted Bishop McHugh in JV & Varsitymatches.
