Local Businessman Shares Experience with Wildwood Catholic Students

By Maureen Cawley

Mrs. Rhonda Klug’s Accounting class at Wildwood Catholic High School welcomed Jim Blake, Vice President/Treasurer and CFO of the Morey Organization, on Nov. 21.
Blake visited the class as a representative of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and provided the students with a wealth of interesting facts regarding accounting as a profession. The hum-drum image of the accounting world was quickly dismissed when topics including forensic accounting, show business accounting, and international accounting illustrated exciting careers.
The New Jersey Society of CPAs offers scholarships worth as much as $8,500. Blake provided students with all the necessary information to qualify. He also gave students answering questions the opportunity to win prizes provided by the New Jersey Society of CPAs. The students, faculty, and administration are appreciative of Blake’s informative and inspirational visit.
