Glenwood Avenue Students Show Spirit of Giving

By Maureen Cawley

Mrs. Burgin’s second grade class from Glenwood Avenue Elementary School knows that Christmas is about both giving and receiving.
So together they collected canned good and new toys for local families that are struggling to meet their bills this holiday season, and they stopped by the Wildwood Post Office, 3311 Atlantic Ave.. on Dec 3 to drop off their gifts to support the mail carrier’s canned food drive and the Toys for Tots program.
While they were there, they toured the post office, met mail carriers and, most importantly, dropped off their letters to Santa. Surely, he knows they’ve been very, very nice.
