Crest Memorial Students Rewarded for Writing Excellence

WILDWOOD CREST – Crest Memorial School students in grades three through eight who have produced exemplary written work during the months of November and December were recently rewarded with a pizza party and prominent display of their compositions.
The Principal’s Corner was originated by Crest Memorial Principal, Ann-Maria Guevara, an educator who strives to improve student writing skills through encouragement and example.
Not only is the work of the young writers exhibited in the main entrance to the school, but they were also treated to a pizza lunch with Guevara. During the lunch, students discussed their essays with the principal.
Those achieving Principal’s Corner received a certificate commending them for their writing excellence.
The students named to Crest Memorial’s Principal’s Corner for November and December 2011 are as follows:
3rd grade: Noah Pruszinski, Ethan Burke, Robin Altman
4th grade: Salma Abuarquob, Abby Fuscaldo, Robert Little, Anahi Pelaez, Carli Johnson
5th grade: William Gloede, Alexa Karavan, Lauren Sorensen, Tabby Moore
6th grade: Jonathan Hesley, Michael Chiolo, Mouna Abuarquob
7th grade: Stanley Ziemba, Adam Wolfe, Brad Altman, Fred Spiewak, Genevieve Heym, Colin Hamlin, Rosalia Daddi
8th grade: Daria Neri, Mackenzie Bradley, Jacob Hesley
The topics and styles for student writing showcased on the Principal’s Corner bulletin board are varied, ranging from book reports and essays to poetry throughout the year. The student compositions will remain on the Principal’s Corner bulletin board for the next eight weeks.
