Cape Tech’s ‘High School Successful Graduate’ for 2017 Honored

CREST HAVEN – Recently, Superintendent Dr. Nancy Hudanich honored Erin Dennison, a 2009 graduate in the Early Childhood Development Career and Technical Education program, as the New Jersey Council of County Vocational-Technical Schools 2017 “High School Successful Graduate” for Cape May County Technical School District.
Upon graduation, Dennison attended Rowan University and earned degrees in Elementary Education, grades K-5, Special Education K-12, and also in Writing Arts.
For the past three and a half years she has been at Holly Hills Elementary in Westampton Township, Burlington County, fulfilling her passion of teaching Elementary Special Education students. Dennison implements every student’s individualized education plan by adapting each learning objective and activity to reach the student’s level that is not only appropriate, but ensures each student feels successful and empowered by their learning experience. She provides structure to her learning environment by systematically assigning homework on Mon. with an anticipated due date of Fri., with few exceptions. Her instilled strong sense of compassion and enthusiasm compels her commitment to enhance her teaching so that it ensures every student develops positive social skills, self-regulation and success in his/her learning process.
