Atlantic Cape Archers in All American Contention

MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College archers competed with archers from around the country at the United States Indoor National Championships Feb. 27-28.
Archers who finish in the top 15 at Indoor Nationals are considered to be in All American contention. The final All American team is awarded based on the top 10 combined scores from the U.S. Indoor and U.S. Outdoor Collegiate Championships this May at Michigan State University.  
The following archers are considered to be in All American contention: Lorena Koidl of Mays Landing, Nelson Vega of Buena, Chris Ferraro of Hammonton, and Christine Papaycik of Egg Harbor Township.

Male Compound:
Nelson Vega (Buena) – 12th
Chris Ferraro (Hammonton) – 15th
Steve Church (Cape May) – 36th
Female Compound:
Christine Papaycik (Egg Harbor Township) – 15th
Rosie Williams (Petersburg) – 17th
Kerri Byrne (Egg Harbor Township) – 24th
Dianna Torres (Mays Landing) – 29th
Female Bowhunter:
Lorena Koidl (Mays Landing) – 6th
Male Recurve:
Shawn Garrone (Egg Harbor Township) – 25th
Andrew Ciurcak (Woodbine) – 29th
Nick Derr (Vineland) – 33rd
Jacob Verret (Absecon) – 35th
Phil Holmer (Northfield) – 43rd
Female Recurve:
Danielle Ziegler (Franklinville) – 19th
Hillary Paladini (Mays Landing) – 22nd
Ariella Mossman (Somers Point) – 27th
Aimee Fischer (Mays Landing) – 31st
Dina Stauffer (Egg Harbor Township) – 38th
Additionally, Feb. 21, Koidl won the Pennsylvania State Championship in the female bowhunter division.
Atlantic Cape’s team is led by long-time archers Chad Affrunti of Atco and John Repnicki of Galloway. Atlantic Cape’s archery team has a history of success, producing more than 40 All-America archers and hosting the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships three times.
