Bishop McHugh
Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School students and their families participated in a food drive to help collect items for Thanksgiving baskets donated to Holy Redeemer. The project was headed up by the school’s Team Mercy.
In other news, the school recognized Walter and Alma Novasack, of South Seaville, on November 25 as a major benefactor for the school. The Novasack family contributed to the school when it first opened in 2000 and their monetary donation continues to help families with tuition assistance.

Congressman Frank LoBiondo took time from his busy schedule on November 24 to visit Mr. Reidenbachs third grade classroom at Maud Abrams School. The class has been learning about our federal government and Congressman LoBiondo’s visit was a great culmination to their studies. The Congressman spoke about our government and his job, then he answered dozens of questions that ranged from laws to the government to what do you do in your spare time. Mr. Reidenbach’s students were very proud that the Congressman took time to visit them.

Thanksgiving celebrations took place at Elementary #1 school last week. Mrs. Davis’ class performed the story of the first Thanksgiving, complete with pilgrim’s hats. Mrs. Clark’s class entertained the audience by singing and signing their rendition of “Over the River and Through the Woods”. Third grade students from Mrs. Holmes’ & Mr. Morvay’s classes came from Elementary #2 with their own version of the First Thanksgiving. After the show students, parents, and teachers alike took part in a Thanksgiving Feast.
