Susie Q’s Hair Salon will hold its annual pink hair extension fundraiser throughout the month of October. Receive a pink hair extension for a $10 donation. Donations will be split between Gilda’s Club South Jersey and the Love of Linda Cancer Fund. Susie Q’s Hair Salon can go onsite for local schools, sporting events and larger groups. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk raises awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. The event is a noncompetitive three- to five-mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. “I Shoot for the Girls” National Breast Cancer Foundation Fundraiser

“I Shoot for the Girls” national tournament raises money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through the sport of archery and firearms. It was started in conjunction with Shoot Like a Girl, a company with the mission of growing the number of women who participate in shooting sports by empowering them with confidence. Atlantic Cape Archery will host an “I Shoot for the Girls” tournament which is strictly archery due to facility constraints. Registration is $25, with $20 going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-ins will be allowed if room is available. The Wildwood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 50 presents Bowling for Breast Cancer on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a $25 donation per person with maximum 5 people per team per lane. Each lane will receive a pizza pie and a pitcher of soda. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. You must pre-register for the event with Rob Feltwell at rfeltwell@wildwoodnj.org. Proceeds will be donated to the Survivors of Cancer Inc. (S.O.C.).

The Shirley Mae Breast Cancer Assistance Fund presents the 18th Annual Shirley Mae Run & Michael J. Walk featuring a 5K Run, a 1.5 Mile Walk and a Kids’ Fun Run. The fun-filled morning will feature an inspirational Celebration of Survivors and more, and complimentary refreshments will be available during the event. All events will take place on the fabulous Atlantic City Boardwalk in front of the Tropicana Casino & Resort. Special commemorative merchandise will also be available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the Shirley Mae Breast Cancer Assistance Fund, the Michael J. Neustadter Pancreatic Cancer Fund and Gilda’s Club South Jersey.
