Church of Christ Presents Gifts to Coastal Prep High School Pupils

Middle Township Committeeman Michael Clark presents gifts to students on behalf of the Church of Christ congregation.

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Students from Coastal Prep High School received some holiday cheer during the school’s first holiday party Dec. 19.
According to a release, members of the Church of Christ congregation, where the school is located, came together to donate Walmart gift cards to each student.
The church’s Song Worship Leader and Middle Township Committeeman Michael C. Clark spent time with the students and was the one to surprise them with the gifts.
“On behalf of our members, we want to give you a gift to help make the holidays brighter,” stated Clark. “You’re all remarkable individuals and we’re here to support you. You’ve really made this space your own and we’d like you to stay for as long as you need.”
During the celebration, students showed Clark some of the projects they worked on, including the parallels between good and evil.
“These students are remarkable and so appreciative,” stated Dr. Toni Lehman, director of Curriculum and Instruction for Middle Township School District. “Seeing their excitement today during our visit and their gratitude for the gifts is indescribable.”
Coastal Prep High School is New Jersey’s third recovery high school and serves students from the state’s eight southern counties: Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem, Camden, Burlington, and parts of Ocean.
Developed by Middle Township School District and Cape Assist, Coastal Prep blends academic resources and recovery support to keep students on track academically while recovering from addiction.
Enrollment has increased to eight students, the most since the school opened its doors in March 2019.
