Cape Island Baptist Church to Mark 175 Years Serving the Community

CAPE MAY – Cape Island Baptist Church is celebrating 175 years of serving the community.
According to a release, the church was founded on April 9, 1844, with 25 registered members. The congregation has continued to thrive as a welcoming place of worship for those living in and around the city of Cape May and for those visiting our beautiful area.
Located at the intersection of Columbia Avenue and Gurney Street, the church invites members, former members, friends and visitors to a special anniversary celebration Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. as its congregation looks forward to many more years of service and worship.
