Registration for Spring Lacrosse Begins in February

VILLAS – Spring sports at the Lower Township Department of Parks and Recreation will be here before anyone knows it and registration is beginning in February for lacrosse.   
The youth lacrosse program for boys and girls enrolled in the third through eighth grades per U.S. Lacrosse rules are designated by age classifications (9U/10U, 11U/12U, 13U/14U).  
According to a release, this is designed to improve the development of individual skills and providing a greater understanding of the game. Lacrosse practices and games will be held on weeknights and weekends. Travel for league games is to be expected.
Participants must provide their own lacrosse equipment. Boys will need black lacrosse helmets, gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, mouthpieces, and lacrosse sticks. Girls will need goggles, mouthpiece and lacrosse stick.
Registration for lacrosse begins Feb. 3, 2019, and will continue to Feb. 17, 2019.
Fees are as follows: For residents, $15 for one child, $25 for two children and $30 for three or more children. Non-residents are $20 for one child, $30 for two children and $35 for three or more children.  
Participants must also register with the U.S. Lacrosse Association at an approximate $25 additional cost. Information on that registration will be provided by coaches.   
Register at the Lower Township Recreation Center, behind Lower Township Hall in the municipal complex at 2600 Bayshore Road.
