COURT HOUSE – From Pack 65’s youngest Tiger Cub to Troop 65’s oldest Boy Scout, all joined Feb. 3 to congratulate the achievements of 16 peers who crossed the ceremonial bridge from Cubs to Boy Scouts at the Blue and Gold celebration, according to a release.
Scouting officials, parents, and friends convened to watch the Arrow of Light honor bestowed upon the scouts who had worked hard to further their journey toward the coveted Eagle Scout rank that some might someday earn.
Honored at the event at First United Methodist Church were:
Benjamin Banks, Ayden Conover, Zavier Fisher, Ty Gandy, Gabriel Guida, Kurt Himstedt, Tyler King, Max MacLeod, Hugh McElroy, Nathan McMaster, Daniel Orta, Gage Ormrod, Darp Patel, Aiden Radzieta, Colin Russell, Michael Zuzulock.
U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2nd), Assemblyman Antwan McClellan (R-1st), Freeholder Jeffrey Pierson and Middle Township Deputy Mayor Theron “Ike” Gandy presented each scout with resolutions attesting to their achievements.
Arrow of Light Den Leader Jason Banks presented the scouts to Boy Scout leaders and members, who welcomed each who crossed the ceremonial bridge into Troop 65.
Some scouts elected to join other Boy Scout troops. Each scout was accompanied by parents or guardians who helped them attain the right to become Boy Scouts.
