OCEAN CITY — More than 50 sun-speckled visitors participated in Ocean City’s annual Freckle Contest on Wed., July 13 on the boardwalk outside the Ocean City Music Pier.
“I call them my ‘angel kisses’,” said Jenny Bradshaw, an adult contestant from Pittsburgh, Pa.
The contest was emceed by Ocean City Special Events Coordinator Michael Hartman. Miss Ocean City McKayla Perry and Junior Miss Ocean City Stella Schwartz were judges. Winners included:
5-and-under: Sylvia Bleach, Bethlehem, Pa.
6-8: Alexa Smith, Holland, Pa.
9-12: Layne Zipperlen, Garnet Valley, Pa.
Teens: Jessica Klimp, North Wales, Pa.
Adults: Jacqueline Flanagan, Asbury Park, N.J.
Avalon – It absolutely makes sense for means testing for Social Security. We need to trim benefits for anyone 50 or younger, and give them better savings options. Anyone 50 or older should be grandfathered….
