ROMANO, EDITH F., 87 – of Cape May Court House died peacefully on September 22, 2017. “Edie”, “Edith Ann”, Edie Mom, Grandmom, Nannie, was beloved wife of the late Michael R. Romano. Loving mother to Angela Grassi, the late James (Mary) Romano, Patricia (Keith) Crosby, Michele Romano, and Kathleen Romano Galati. She had seven grandchildren: Christian (Sarah) Grettner, Jenn, Jim, and Ali Romano, Kaitlyn and Jimmy Crosby, Vinny (Kelly) Galati, Janelle Galati; and great granddaughter, Madison Grettner. She was also the loving aunt and friend of Liz (Jim) Morrison and cousin and friend of Pat (Bill) Morris.
Edie loved making pizelles and was often told she was “paving her way to Heaven” by making and sharing her famous pizelles and “The Recipe.”
Edie loved Padre Pio, Dixieland Jazz, shuffleboard, bingo, and the casino. If you were lucky she would tell you that “she loved you to the moon and back.” Edie and Mike were the former owners of Romano’s Restaurant in Sea Isle City, NJ.
