POWELL, ROBERT H., 95

POWELL, ROBERT H., 95, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away on July 25, 2017. Born in Ocean City, NJ to the late William and Mary Shore Powell, he was raised in Marmora and has lived in Cape May Court House for over 35 years. A Naval Air Veteran of the Korean War, he later worked as a test pilot for NAFEC. Mr. Powell loved to travel the world. In his later years, he liked to the Lancaster, PA with his family. He always talked about his pilot buddies with whom he worked. Mr. Powell is survived by his wife of 71 years, Julia Ballinger Powell; his son, Robert Powell, Jr. (Daniel) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his daughter, Patricia Young of Petersburg, NJ; his grandchildren, Tracey Errickson (Jeff) and John Young, Jr. (Amanda); his nine great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Walker and Louise Griffith; his step brother, William Powell, Jr.; and his son in law, John Young, Sr. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Head of the River Cemetery, Route 49, Estell Manor.
