PATTERSON, WILLIAMJuly 28, 1946-Feb. 18, 2018PATTERSON, MICHELLE MEHANJune 4, 1955-Feb. 18, 2018William Patterson and Michelle Mehan Patterson passed away suddenly on February 18, 2018.William (Bill) Patterson was born on July 28, 1946 in Bozeman, Montana to parents Pierce and Marion Patterson. Michelle Mehan Patterson was born June 4, 1955 to parents Paul Mehan and Dolores Mehan-Giordano.Bill and Michelle were married on September 19, 2009 in Stone Harbor, New Jersey.Michelle loved to cook, travel and spend time with family and friends. She was a speech pathologist with over 25 years of experience working with young children. She received her Masters Degree from Temple University. Her true passion was helping children overcome their difficulties and watching them succeed. Michelle was always available to help others. Never thinking of herself first, she would put the needs of others before her own.Bill was an avid pilot, golfer, and skier who loved being outdoors. He was a tireless worker whose drive and dedication spanned a 40 year career in the retail business. Bill expected the best from himself. Yet one of his greatest attributes was his ability to help others find the best in themselves. He believed that the little things mattered and that no detail should be overlooked. Just like Michelle, Bill would always be there for his family and friends. Bill will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and wisdom.Bill is survived by his two sons, Bryan and Greg as well as his sister Patti. Michelle is survived by her mother Dolores, sister Nicole, brother Paul and four sons Jordan, Eric, Michael and Stephen. They were also grandparents to four grandchildren Sarah, Katie, Giselle and Loralai, whom they treasured and adored.Bill and Michelle built a life filled with wonderful memories and a family that loved each other. They will be sorely missed.Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the wonderful lives of William Patterson and Michelle Mehan Patterson. Funeral services are to be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Paul’s Church in Stone Harbor. (9910 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247).
