Ann Martino 90, passed away peacefully at home on September 11th, 2019 surrounded by family. Ann was born in Brooklyn, New York April 18th, 1929. She and her late husband Albert J. Martino came to North Wildwood in 1966 and together they founded and operated Al the Steak King, The Brigadoon and Garden State Motels for 24 years. They originally founded Al The Steak King in Virginia where Al and Ann were lovingly referred to as King and Queenie. After Al’s passing, Ann worked until she was 85, spending 20 yrs at the Vegas Diner.Beloved wife of 40 years to her late husband Al, Ann is also predeceased by two of her siblings, Anthony, and Phyllis. She is survived by her loving brother Frank, her three devoted children, Joann (John) Barth, Rosemarie Johnson, and John Martino, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. And the many friends that loved her.The funeral services will be held Friday September 20th at Notre Dame de la Mer church (formerly Saint Ann’s) in Wildwood at 11am with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 10am to 11am. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to her favorite charity, St.Jude’s Research Hospital.
