Ronald “Ron” Morris Hamann Sr., on April 5th, 2021, Ron passed away peacefully after a 2 year long battle with stage 4 Colon Cancer. Ron was 73 years young at the time. Ron was born August 17th, 1947 at Mayville Nursing Home to Oscar and Ruth Hamann. He was the first of seven children. He resided in Cape May Court House for a large majority of his life, besides taking a 10 year long adventure in Northfield, VT. Right out of high school, Ron joined the Navy where he was an “Electricians Mate” on the USS Borie dd 704. Ron was not only a Life Member at the Villas VFW Post 5343, he was also a Trustee for 5 years. Ron also held a District 17 position as a Trustee. Ron retired from his life long career at the Cape May County Engineers Department in 2019. Ron accomplished his long time dream and recently became a newly published author, “Forge of the Undead”. Ron loved to sit and listen to his music, enjoying the company of others, and spending time with his family. He spent most of his time cooking, gardening, and in recent years, writing his book. He was a die-hard Eagles and Phillies fan. He also had a coin collection that he loved adding new pieces to. Ron’s memory is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Carol, his three children, Toni (Jose) Torres, Ronald Jr (Rachel) Hamann, David Sr (Andrea) Hamann, his 5 grandchildren Halley (Khalid) , Maxwell, David Jr, Evan, Maria, and his two great grandchildren, Louie and Tessa. Services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11am at Cape May County Veteran’s Cemetery in Crest Haven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ron’s honor be sent directly to the Villas VFW Post #5343.
BOWERSOCK, ROBERT After a battle with Alzheimer's, on July 22, 2025, Robert Bowersock “Big Bad Bob” passed away peacefully at home on the bay, surrounded by his loving family and graced with a beautiful sunset to end his final Chapter of Life. Bob was born on January 20, 1940.
