DELLAPENNA, THERESA (PITTALUGA)

age 91 of Phoenixville passed away on May 21, 2020 at St. Martha Villa in Downingtown.Born in Sea Isle City, NJ on May 16, 1929 to Rose Cupido Pittaluga and Pietro Pittaluga. Theresa graduated from Ocean City High School in Ocean City, NJ in 1947.She was employed by the Atlantic City Electric Company when she met her future husband, Alfonso J. DellaPenna of Devault, PA while he was visiting his family in Sea lsle City. They were married on November 20, 1949 and moved to Devault, PA. They became co-owners of Nick’s Tavern in Devault, along with brother Nick and Faye DellaPenna.Theresa enjoyed spending time at the shore, visiting with her mother and five siblings (Jack, Anthony, Frank, Isabel and Norma) all of whom remained in the Sea Isle area. All are now deceased save Norma Gardner who still resides in Sea Isle City.Theresa is survived by her son, Frank DellaPenna and her daughter-in-law, Anne F. DellaPenna of St. Peter’s, PA. She is also survived by her five Grand children; Marc DellaPenna (Jennifer DellaPenna) Pottstown, PA, Kyle Jones (Ali Jones) Scott Depot, WV, Theresa DellaPenna Stillman (Brad Stillman) West Chester, PA, Christine DellaPenna Etheridge (James Etheridge) Limerick, PA, Sean Jones (Brittany Jones) Nashville, NC and 10 Great Grandchildren; Joseph, Gabriel, Olivia DellaPenna, Chase, Kate, Mia Jones, Sienna, Piper, Ryder Stillman, Hayden Etheridge.She is also survived by sister-in-laws Theresa Fiore of Malvern, PA, and Santa Pittaluga of Sea Isle City, NJ and brother-in-law, Frank DellaPenna of Potomac, MD (and his spouse Nancy). She will be fondly remembered by over 35 nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends too numerous to mention from her beloved Sea Isle City and Devault.Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Alfonso Joseph DellaPenna who passed away in 2015, her daughter Kathleen Jones (deceased 2019) and her son, Joseph M.
