CASTELLANI, ANTHONY P.

CASTELLANI, ANTHONY P. (January 7, 1965 May 25, 2013) Anthony P. Castellani of Burlington Township, NJ died suddenly on Saturday, May 25, 2013. He was 48. He is the son of the late Sabatino (d. 4/4/13) and Helene Castellani (d. 9/9/12). He was raised in Springfield, Union County, and lettered all four years at Jonathan Dayton High School. Anthony graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and was a brother of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Anthony is an All-time Penn Wrestling Letterwinner (84, 86-87). A graduate of Rutgers School of Law, Anthony was a talented and highly respected insurance defense trial attorney for 22 years. For the past 7 years, he managed staff counsel for Geico in Marlton, NJ. Anthony is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee DeGenova) and their two children, Mary Stella (age 10) and Sabatino Charles Dino (age 8). Anthony is also survived by his brother Vincent and sister-in-law Sandy Castellani and their children, Dena, Toni and Grace, as well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whose company he cherished in his own quiet way. Anthony loved watching all different sports, but even more he valued sports for the sportsmanship, and physical and mental strengths that athletes develop through their participation. In addition to wrestling, Anthony played football and baseball as a youth. He was entering a new phase in the place of the role that sports played in his life as a volunteer with his sons wrestling team and as an assistant baseball coach and proud observer of Mary as she learns to ride a horse. His happiest times were spent with his wife and children on the beach or along the bay, running in 5K races and soaking up love and laughter in the company of family and friends. Anthony was a devoted, patient and kind husband and father. Anthonys family and friends will remember him for being a kind-hearted soul with a warm smile. Those who know Anthony as Cos, Keg and Tone-Loc have additional fond memories of their loyal friend. Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 30th, 6-8 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 (609) 465-7458. Funeral mass will be Friday, May 31st at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic St., Cape May Court House, with a visiting hour at the church from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clermont, NJ.
