New Jersey Run for the Fallen to Be Held Sept. 24

By Press Release

OCEAN CITY — The New Jersey Run for the Fallen Foundation is an organization of runners and their support teams whose mission is to run one mile for every New Jersey resident in the armed forces who has been killed during combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Heading north from Cape May, the runners briefly pause at each mile marker in homage to a specific service member and their family. The group will stop and stay in Ocean City at the end of the first day. The Run will continue over the next day three days, until they reach the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Holmdel, NJ.
The military runners will stop at each of the Hero Markers listed below and a very brief ceremony will take place.
We ask that as many Ocean City area residents as possible come out to one or more of the Hero Markers identified below to support the runners and reflect on the sacrifices of these service members and their families.
