Needle and Thread 4-H Sewing Club

Alena Brown

By Nora Conover

My name is Nora Conover, president of the Needle and Thread 4-H Sewing Club. This past year, our club has come together to help our community in many ways. We made pillowcases for children with cancer in the hospital. Our club also cut, pinned and sewed bags to go on walkers and donated them to local nursing homes. Our latest service project was helping at the 4-H 10-Penny Party in March.
The purpose of our club is to bring all members together to form a friendly relationship while helping our community, and learning new skills and life lessons. The 2016-2017 club members are Alena Brown, Kiara Molenkof, Emily DiGilio, Kate DiGilio, Nora Conover, Samantha Downes and club leader Marlene Conover. This year’s club officers are Emily DiGilio, treasurer, Samantha Downes, secretary, Kate DiGilio, vice president and me, Nora Conover, president.
