Lower Township Police Department Is a ‘Project Medicine Drop’ Location

By Press Release

LOWER TOWNSHIP — Project Medicine Drop is an initiative involving the installation of “prescription drug drop boxes” at participating New Jersey police departments, which includes the Lower Township Police Dept. It lets you dispose of your unused and expired household medications, safely and securely, at any time: 24/7/365.
For safety reasons, the boxes can only accept solid medications, such as pills, patches, inhalers, etc. The boxes cannot accept liquids, medical waste or syringes. Consumers wishing to dispose of these objects should speak with their doctors or pharmacists about disposal. It should also be noted that consumers may only dispose of legal prescription or over-the-counter medications.
