Lower Township Department of Parks & Recreation Offers Free Teen Programming

VILLAS — The Lower Township Department of Parks and Recreation teen programming continues through the month of Dec. Boys and Girls are invited to register for 7th 8th & 9th grade co-ed three-on-three basketball tournament to be held on Dec. 5 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Recreation Center. Prizes will be awarded to the top team in each bracket. Register at the Recreation Center.
On Dec. 18, the department will partner with Artist on the Rocks to host an instructional canvas painting program from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This activity will take place at the Millman Community Center. Please note, this program is designed for grades levels 7th, 8th and 9th and is open to the first 40 students to register. For registration details visit or call the Recreation Center. Additionally, RMT students can see Mr. Simonsen and LCMR students Mr. Sansone or Mr. Sherno. All supplies will be provided for this step by step art lesson. Painters will be creating a holiday themed masterpiece.
The following evening, Dec. 19, the fun moves back to the Recreation Center for Movie Night featuring a showing of the original Star Wars Film from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. This opportunity is for students who live in Lower Township or attend school at Lower Cape May Regional or Richard M. Teitelman Schools.
