SEAVILLE – Members of the Jersey Cape Writers celebrated the release of their latest poetry and prose anthology “By the Beautiful Sea: A Collection of Writings from the Jersey Cape” with a book launch party in Seaville.
According to a release, the book, the group’s third publication, is in its second printing and is available at area bookstores, libraries and from group members.
The Jersey Cape Writers meet twice each month, on the first Tuesday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and on the third Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Court House branch of the Cape May County Library to share their writing in a friendly supportive environment.
“Our anthology has been in the works since January and includes the writing of 36 of our members,” stated Marya Small Parral, the group’s lead facilitator. “Many of our writers have previously been published in print and online literary journals and have performed their work at open mic venues.”
Group members have been invited by Stockton University’s Noyes Museum Arts Garage in Atlantic City Dec.18 from 7-9 p.m. to be featured readers during the monthly Poets Collective open mic and book signing. The event is open to the public.
